be-CONNECTED festival puts the spotlight on a new generation of theater and dance talent. So when the Amsterdam Academy of Theatre and Dance asked me to make a trailer for this event, I did just that: put young talented performers in the spotlight. Together with the talented cinematographer Twan Bosman, I came up with a special lighting rig that could highlight specific parts of their performances, while leaving the rest of them a silhouette. Unknown and unseen, just like many of these young performers are at the start of their careers.
